About this beta
STELLA Beta 0.2 is the training ground being built on the shape of the frozen Beta 0.1 skeleton (frozen on 3 October 2026): one server and one database with euler.swiss, real Faculty accounts, real calendars, the real Family space. This page says exactly where the seams are.
Leo is our AI tutor, named for Leonhard Euler and drawn from the stars of Leo, a constellation in STELLA’s sky.
At thirteen, Euler spent Saturday afternoons with Johann Bernoulli, bringing what he could not understand. Leo works the same way.
A computer program, not a person. Named for Leonhard Euler. Leo coaches inside Euler’s adventures on the family plan and appears only after the child asks; on STELLA, Leo is named on the home page’s card, on the family-plan card and here, and nowhere else. One constellation, one tutor, one red star: STELLA’s sky stays a sky, not a cast (founder, 2 Oct).
✓ Real in this beta
- One registration, two campuses: a Faculty member signs up once, on euler.swiss or in the Studio here, and carries a switch per campus. Off greys the profile out on that front end at once; on brings it back. The same account, the same database.
- The Faculty directory and profiles: real members with a confirmed email, their declared title, country, profile line and the accepted-problems-per-level cells from euler.swiss. Vetted appears only when Swiss eduGLOBE has cleared a member by hand; until then the tag reads in vetting.
- The tutor’s calendar editor: a real calendar (year, months, weeks, days) where the teacher ticks and un-ticks time slots per date in their own zone, with a weekly-rhythm fill for whole months, previewed live in other families’ zones. Every slot is a database row; every family sees it converted into their own zone, correct across daylight-saving changes.
- The Family space: the parent’s Euler100 account works here unchanged (one account, both platforms); the candidate’s login name and PIN, created by the parent on euler.swiss, open the candidate’s own space. Everything the child does here is visible to the parent.
- The feedback statistics (perseverance and volume, founder 29 September) are computed from the candidate’s real adventure rows, recorded against the Euler ID, and shown to families on the family plan; they never move the Ei. The candidate’s own space shows no statistics at all.
- The brand, the naming (Faculty Studio, My Orbit), the bridge to euler.swiss, Leo’s mark: the roundel as avatar, the lockup on this page, the honesty label wherever Leo appears.
◌ Coming, after the pilot
- Bookings and payments (tutoring bookings remain coming for the 11 October pilot): the calendars are live, the booking flow and the 75/25 checkout follow with the payments build. No money moves here; no price is shown while nothing can be bought.
- Requests from the candidate (ask to book), the teacher’s read-only window, messaging, ratings: shapes agreed, not yet switched on.
- Uploads (view-only PDFs, streaming clips, the content storefront): with the production build and its storage quotas.
- Leo’s live coaching inside Euler’s adventures: with the family plan. Here Leo is named on the home page’s card and the family-plan card, and rests. A computer program, not a person. Named for Leonhard Euler.
- Identity and safeguarding checks: carried out by Swiss eduGLOBE by hand for the pilot members; the automated vetting partner follows.
Booking design informed by a best-of-breed study of tutoring and scheduling platforms (instant-book, viewer-local time zones, DST-safe recurring slots, parent-mediated safety). Questions: euler100@euler.swiss.
